Op. Dr. Batuhan Demir

Due to my father's job, I was born in Tuzluca district of Iğdır on 1.1.1985. We moved to Amasya in 1987. My family still lives in Amasya. After completing my primary education at Amasya Beyazıt Primary School, I passed the Amasya Anatolian High School exam and completed my high school education here. After entering Erzurum Science High School in the high school entrance exam, I started my medical career at Ege University in 2003. 
 
After graduating from medical school in 2009, I started my specialization at EgeUniversity General Surgery Clinic, which was my first choice in the first TUS exam I took. In 2015, I continued my profession at Tepecik Eğitim Araştırma Hospital until 2018. At this hospital, I had a chance to operate in every field of general surgery between the years 2015- 2018. In 2018, I turned back to the Ege University General Surgery Clinic as prelector. 
 
Here I performed liver and kidney transplantation, cancer surgery, obesity surgery and other general surgery surgeries, and also conducted academic studies in these fields. I provided training and teaching about general surgery to dozens of students and assistants. In order to spare more time for my patients and provide better quality service, I left my job as a general surgery lecturer at Ege University in April 2023. Immediately after leaving, I opened my own clinic and provide private service to my patients. I perform my surgeries in private hospitals with which I have agreements.

Development in education and new approaches never ends in the field of medicine and general surgery. I have published dozens of national and international articles. I think that I have left a permanent mark on the field of surgical medical sciences with these articles. Even though I work privately, I will continue my academic studies and help my patients by following new approaches and developments. I also shared my knowledge with my colleagues who are learning general surgery by writing 10 book chapters in various general surgery books. I presented 78 of my studies orally at congresses on national surgery, hepatobiliary surgery, obesity surgery, colon surgery, stomach surgery and organ transplant surgery and published my knowledge in these fields. I shared 108 of my works in written form at the congresses I attended.

I still serve my patients in the fields of Thyroid and Breast Cancer surgery, Esophagus-stomach surgery, colon and rectum surgery, Liver and biliary tract diseases surgery, Pancreatic cancer surgery, hernia surgery and Obesity surgery and continue my academic studies in the light of the knowledge I have gained in these fields.
